2nd DPG Family Gathering
Melinda and I will be attending the 2nd DPG (diffuse pontine glioma) Family Gathering in Las Vegas this Aug 5th-8th. We went last year and really helped meeting other families who’ve lost a child to DPG. It was a little strange going to a conference knowing that we’d be surounded by other parents and their grief, but it was an amazing experience and it really helped to share our feelings.
Melinda will be hosting a scrap booking session at the gathering to help other parents start to save the photos and memories. She’ll have small albums donated by Creative Memories for each family.
It really is an amazing event and I highly recommend it to anyone (not just parents) whose life has been touched by losing a child to DPG.
