Explaining Me.dium
I’ve had a bunch of you asking about my new job. I figured that I’ve been there for four months now and should get around to posting about it.
I’m working at a small start-up called Me.dium. We’re building a service that allows you to see and interact with people online. It’s a window next your browser that shows the website that you’re on, websites relevant to it and any Me.dium users on those sites.
Seeing people - and being seen - while online takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s also amazingly powerful. It’s fun watch crowds gather around a particular website when something is happening. And even cooler when the sites relevant to that site pop-up with even more information.
You can join Me.dium here. Everyone that joins will be added to my friends list and I’ll see you when you get online.
The service is still pretty new and is currently only available as an add-on to the Firefox web browser which you can download for free. We’re working to have a version for Microsoft IE in February.
Thanks
