CD Madness

The doorbell rang at 7 AM this morning as I was groggily trying to decide if I was “working from home” or actually going into the office. I was surprised to find a police officer on our front porch and started running through my recent activities to make sure I wouldn’t be joining him for a ride to the station. I told Santa I was good this year, but a year is an awfully long time.

Ends up it was just Bo, one of the Sleepness Knights band members, dropping off a copy of the CD they recorded with “Ben’s Song.” I had it in the CD player and ripped onto the iPod within minutes.

I’m not sure where to begin in expressing my gratitude to the guys of the Sleepless Knights. First they write a song for Ben. Then they perform it in front of over 200 amazing people at Ben’s fundraiser. Then they professionally record it. Now they’re selling it at local businesses. It’s like dealing with Super Cops or something.

Bo put a great comment up a previous post stating that they all got into law enforcement to help people. Not many people are lucky enough to have a musical talent and to find a way to incorporate it into their life’s work of helping others. You guys are amazing and we’re honored to live in the community that you serve in so many ways.

We’re trying to get a list of where it will be sold and a plan for those of you out of town.

    Dean,
Just an update we are busily trying to get the CD’’s completed and are going to be selling them at the Jazzy Bean in Firestone and also at the U-Pump-It in Dacono. Price is $5 and if there are people that want to donate more for the CD’’s, Great! Every dime goes to help your family. If anyone wants to request a CD by mail I can ship them but we may have to charge a little more to help me with the shipping costs. They can contact you or me. My email is boandtheknights@aol.com. I hope to have more businesses involved in the sale of the CD’’s. Right now Jazzy Bean has the first 20 or so. We”re working hard to get the first 100 out. If you have any questions email me.
    Bo
