Wow, an update!
We had a wonderful feast over at my brother Pat’s house with both Melinda and my folks. It’s really nice being able to have the whole family in one place. And a little hectic with nearly 40 people to feed. Ben’s quote of the event: “Dad, can I have some more food?”
The rumors of my company being acquired turned out to be true. Click Commerce acquired us on the 24th and I still have a job (wahoo!). I’ve spent the last week getting my team integrated into the new company and trying to calm things down so we can get back to business as usual. I see many trips out to Chicago in my future.
Ben continues to get better every day. It’s amazing to see him run, jump, play with Madie (fight with Madie) and tease the dogs again. His hand-eye-coordination has returned to normal. We’re hoping to have him start back in school as soon as possible.
Our Make-A-Wish trip to San Diego is being finalized for the week of Feb. 11th - just in time for Madie and my birthdays!
We’re putting the finishing touches on a plan for Christmas this year. Check back shortly to see how you can share the season with us and help children with cancer at the same time.
