Thanks, Dad

My dad passed quietly last night just a few days short of his 65th birthday. I've always been proud of my Dad and cherish his artwork even more now that he's gone. He was a great dad and a wonderful grandfather.

We're planning a memorial service on Saturday at Johnson where Dad has been getting rehad since his stroke eight years ago. I'll have more details up here shortly.

*Updated*

Dad's service will be at The Johnson Center at 3444 S. Emerson at 11 AM on Saturday (Dad's birthday :).

*And another update*

My great aunt Dorothy passed away last night as well at the fine old age of 93. She just recently gave up driving herself and her girlfriends out the casino's in Omaha.

And I know he was so very proud of you and your brothers.

We're so sorry for you guys. We love you guys _so much_. Please, please let us know if there's anything we can help with. (Comment this)

3 - Once again a profound loss to the Steadman family. Happy I had the opportunity recently to visit, see hug/kiss your Dad one last time. Personally, Mike comforted me with the loss of Ben. When I started to cry at Ben's memorial picnic and share how sad I was, Mike shook his head adamantly from side to side no,no and pointed his finger heavenward. I will greatly miss your Father, especially his great big smile.

Much Love,

5 - I am sorry to hear that you have lost another great person in the Steadman Clan. I didn't know your dad very well, but the few times I had met with him he seemed to be a great man. Although the loss on earth is great today, the gain to heaven is even more. I am sure that Ben greeted him with a kiss and a hug and he is pulling his grandpa around to show him all the great things there is to see.

You are always in my thoughts my friends, and today and Saturday I will think of you even more.

Love you bunches,

7 - We want you all to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We'll be sending our love to you on Saturday. I thank God for my 3 cousins he raised, and remember the good times we all had together growing up in Kansas. Kyle and I took the girls to Auburn in March to visit Aunt Dorothy. We bought her car for Ally and Molly, and she was so happy they would be driving it. She said "it" knows the way to the casino, so she warned us to be careful! (Comment this)
